Alpha 6 Released

And here is another update that is introducing the “Dev Mode”. By putting some switches in the game shortcut you can enable more console commands to draw bullets trajectory, change the weather or daycycle time for example. You will find more information on this and a command list at the bottom of this post.

An official French localization has been added to the game, it does not support accents for now but you can change your language in the settings menu.

This update will be deployed very soon. As always you will find it in your mail box.

How to apply the “Dev Mode”:

1. Right click on Dangerous Rays shortcut
2. Properties
3. In target field after the closing quote mark or “.exe” add the “-devmode” switch like this:

"C:\ProgramFiles\DangerousRays\DangerousRays.exe" -devmode

4. Click Ok on launch the game, you will see a “Dev Mode” text on the top right of the screen

logconfigslist > list all loaded configs in the debug log
reloadconfigs > reload every config of the game. (not very useful for now)
view_wireframe (1 or 0) > show the rendering in a wireframe view fashion
view_bulletstrajectory (1 or 0) > draw the bullet trajectory ideal for seeing how the ballistics engine works
view_bulletsimpacts (1 or 0) > draw the bullets impact points
weather_setovercast (number between 0.0 and 1.0) > set the target weather overcast, 1.0 being very sunny and 0.0 very cloudy
weather_setinstantovercast (number between 0.0 and 1.0) > change the weather state instantly, 1.0 being very sunny and 0.0 very cloudy
daycycle_sethour (0 to 23) > Change the day hour instantly
daycycle_acceleratetohour (0 to 23)> Smoothly change time to the target hour
